
UNION Pictures, founded in the fall of 2008, is a full-service distribution and production company. UNION works closely with filmmakers and content providers to acquire and produce films and television programs to exploit their rights in Canada and abroad. The ongoing aim of the company is to produce and release a steady stream of commercially viable and critically acclaimed Canadian and foreign films.
Cam Haynes
Cam Haynes is the President and CEO of Union Pictures. He recently served as the Director of Canadian Initiatives at the Toronto International Film Festival Group (TIFFG). As one of the Heads of Programming for TIFFG he was responsible for Film Circuit (which he founded), a distribution/exhibition model that brings Canadian films to nearly 200 cities across Canada and around the world. He also oversaw Canada’s Top Ten industry initiatives, and was part of the Festival Centre design committee of Bell Lightbox. Prior to his involvement with TIFFG he founded Cinéfest, the Sudbury International Film Festival.
Robin Cass
Robin Cass, co-founder of Toronto-based Triptych Media, brings to Union Pictures a creative background that includes work as photo and electronic-based visual artist, as well as a decade of experience in series television as a writer, director and field producer. He is an active board member for the Rogers’ Industry Centre for the Toronto International Film Festival and the AboutFace organization. Robin’s credits include Lilies, Falling Angels, Amal, As Slow as Possible, and High Life.
Sandra Cunningham
Sandra Cunningham, President and co-founder of Toronto-based Strada Films, brings to Union Pictures a diverse background in distribution, promotion, international production, as well as experience as a programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival. She has produced the Talent Lab developmental program at the Toronto International Film Festival since 2007. Sandra serves on a number of advisory committees and is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Film & Television Production Association. Sandra’s credits include John L’Ecuyer’s Curtis’s Charm, Robert Lepage’s Possible Worlds, and with Serendipity Point Films a number of high profile international co-productions: Ararat, Where the Truth Lies, The Statement, Being Julia, and Fugitive Pieces.
Anna Stratton
Anna Stratton, co-founder of Toronto-based Triptych Media, brings to Union Pictures an extensive background in performing arts as a producer and as Head of English Language Theatre for the Canadian Council. Anna co-founded Reel Canada and The Producer’s Roundtable of Ontario. She has served on many boards and committees, including CFC’s Feature Film Project, Dance Umbrella of Ontario, First Night Festival, Toronto Theatre Festival, and the OMDC advisory group for screen-based industries. Anna’s credits include the films Zero Patience, Lilies, The Bay of Love and Sorrows, The Republic of Love, Emotional Arithmetic and the television dramas The Tale of Teeka and Heyday!
